We're working on a week since we took on the girls room as our winter painting project. I seriously thought we could bang this job out in two days. I mean, they build a home in 7 days on Extreme Home Makeover. How hard is it to paint four walls and a desk?
We put the last coat of paint on last night after working on the room everyday for most of the day. I guess I didn't take into account the amount of coats of paint we'd need. We still need to put everything back into their bedroom (toys, books, knick knacks, etc.) I purchased a bunch of photo boxes for all their little treasures so hopefully they can stay organized.

Their room was stark white as we haven't touched it since we moved 5 years ago. We kept thinking we'd get to it and the girls minds changed constantly as to how they wanted it decorated.

The desk area. This is where a majority of their "stuff" is stored. It was loaded to the gills that has since spilled into the rest of the house.

Ta da! I'm very pleased with how this turned out. It took many hours and lots of white paint.

We took the doors off the closet. I will be getting a sheer curtain to hang off to the side of it.

Nate put up the shelves so now the dolls are on display, not wedged between the wall and the girls' beds. They've been more inclined to play with them now that they are out.

Josie's side of the room. Nate will add another small shelf above their beds for house their mp3 speakers and water bottles at night.

Annabelle's side. The bedding and window treatments came from jcpenny.com. They are called Little Mismatched and the comforters, sheets and pillowcases are reversible and interchangable so they are able to change the look. I love being in their room now with all of the happy colors. Now is the task of trying to fit everything back in there. I'd best be getting on that.
