Oops, I did it again. You'd think I'd learn but I didn't. It was time for me to color my hair and I thought to myself, "I would like some highlights and wouldn't it look so lovely to have a fresh hair color that looked like it was streaked by the sun as I'm laying by the lake this week."
"Oh, Molly, you didn't." You're saying.
Can you believe that I did? What a glutton for punishment I am!?! I went and bought the L'Oreal Colouer Experte......again.......even after the last debacle. "But it's been two years," I told myself. "Look, they've made a different wand. That looks easier to apply. I learned from my mistake last time. I'll leave the highlights in for less time so they don't stand out as much. It'll be fine."
But it's not fine. It looks as if I walked into the White Trash Hair Salon and Gun & Tackle Shop to get this piece of junk color. I'm not even going to include a picture because it looks so terrible. The worst part is is that it's almost 10 pm and we're leaving for church camp in the morning. Shame on me! I knew better and I am definitely thinking that the third time will not be a charm. There will be no third time. I am hereby swearing my allegiance to the monotone dome.

Camping

Annabelle preparing to make sand cookies
We've had Father's Day camping penciled in for nearly two months so we were thrilled when it finally came time to go. The Rembert family joined us on Sunday afternoon and then their girls, Allie and Emily, camped with us in Trudy, our trusty camper.
The following day Nate had to go back into town for work. The Sprotts and Harders came out to keep me company Monday afternoon with Jeannine and Matt arriving later to retrieve Allie and Emily.
We had a wonderful time as it's always fun to get out in nature. It's hard to believe that just several days earlier it was snowing outside. This cooler weather and rain has made for some of the lushest, greenest vegetation we've seen on the Palouse in a while. I felt like I was driving through a postcard when we came home last night.

The Lost Teeth

Josie and Annabelle lost a tooth on the same day. Our neighbor, Rich Farnsworth, a Marine, did the honors of pulling out each girls tooth. Josie then pulled out another loose one the following day.
The tooth fairy brought them each an ounce of silver. What lucky girls! Annabelle is a little disappointed that she can't just redeem it for toys at the local Wal* Mart.

That Mr. Gore is full of S*%t! a.k.a. Molly Goes Off on Global Warming
See the white flakes on the bbq cover? Those aren't cottonwood puffs, that's a snowflake or 1000. This picture was taken mere moments ago as Moscow is in the throws of a snow storm. Yeah, you heard me right. A FREAKIN' SNOWSTORM!!!!!!
I wish the pictures captured the true essence of what it looks like outside. When I look outside and say "I renounce global warming" those who are all in favor of it will say " But global warming raises the oceans temperatures which brings more moisture into the air which effects the snow fall amounts" to which I say "Excuse me, shouldn't the moisture be in the form of rain. If the air temperature is warmer wouldn't it be raining???" And is rain really a bad thing? Doesn't that mean we're headed for more tropical rainforests? Well, maybe that would be the case if it were actually warm.
My next thought it this, with all this snow and sleet, maybe I'm already in the third level of hell and I am just in denial.......

Last Day of School

Annabelle with Mrs. Weesner
Wednesday, June 4, marked the last day of school for Annabelle and Josie. They were very excited for summer to start. I have yet to feel like it's summertime as the weather is still in April showers mode.

Josie and Mrs. Bradway
We do have a full line-up of activities. We've already been on a geo-cache trip to Lewiston, Josie starts softball tonight and Annabelle will be taking a watercolor class soon. We did have a sunny day -all 60 degrees of it - yesterday to get to the pool.
The thing that leaves me the most flusterd once school gets out is the kids' and dog's wake up times. Since school been out Butterscotch insists on waking up around 5 am and Josie soon follows around 6 am. What? If there was school I'd be dragging Josie out of bed at 8. It stinks for me bacuase I could really use the ZZZZ's.
