Kitty Tracks

Nate and I were out early this morning doing our paper route. There was a light dusting of snow outside and on the streets were evidence of the many tracks the neighborhood kitties leave behind. I've never seen so many kitty tracks! Those felines are busy in the witching hours as two tracks joined together and then were met up with a third (and sometimes fourth) set. Nate and I soon had visions of kitty social hours followed by kitty Raves.

I now have an understanding of why Ella (our furry friend) must sleep so much during the day.

February Flu

Our month of Feburary has consited of each one of us being struck down by one ailment or another. Josie and Annabelle both missed a few days of school earlier in the month. Both had fevers. Nate came down with the stomach bug on Tuesday and I have been feeling "off" for the past few days. Taking naps for most of them which I hardly ever do.

Being ill has made home-projects put on the back burner. I hope to have energy for March.

On a happy note: we all felt well enough to participate in the 3rd Annual Croucher Cribbage Tournament in Libby, MT this past weekend. Both Nate and I lost out in earlier rounds as usual but it was a still a blast.

Kitchen Painting - January 2007

I was getting the serious blues from all of the cold, foggy weather we've been having. I looked at all of the white walls in the kitchen and decided to do something bold. Here's our kitchen before we painted. It's naturally cluttered to give the "After" photos some real drama.


We think the previous owners just painted the walls a primer white.


This is our first "After " photo. This set of cupboards was actually yellow while the other ones were an antique white. We were chuckling because everything that was yellow (cupboards) we painted white and everything that was white (the walls) we painted yellow.


Here's my bold red mini wall. I love it! I still need a few wall hangings on it but haven't got there yet.


Ta-dah! It is a bit more cozy now. Nate acually did most of the paniting. We had another chuckle again re: the fact that we picked 1970's McDonald's colors. Yellow, brown, red.....

The actual colors we used are from Sherwin Williams: Vermillion, Sole', Navajo White and Cobble Brown.

Next up for painting is the Don's Plumbing Office. We have some lovely poop brown shades we'll be using for the walls, which is just fitting for a plumbing office, don't you think? We'll post that project when we finish.
